Requesting feedback on the inclusion of the Veterinary Extension in the SNOMED All-Editions browser.
the Veterinary extension should primarily contain non-human diseases, however, in some cases there may be overlap into human disease states.
The primary issue is that extension content is always highlighted in the browser using a flag icon for the country which owns the extension. There is no icon to identify Veterinary Extension content making it easily confused with International (core) concepts.
For example: Searching for Infectious pleural effusion returns a result in the all extension browser: 358851000009101 |Infectious pleural effusion (disorder)|
The problem is that unless you look closely enough to notice the namespace identifier in the SCTID or look at which release was selected in the upper right corner, there is nothing to indicate this concept is not in International (core) content.
Request feedback that an icon be added to Veterinary Extension content to readily identify it as extension based content that, if used, may require promotion to the international edition.
