SNOMED CT license and LLMs

What IHTSDO Legal department position on use of SNOMED CT in LLM?

(training of LLM occurs in member country but LLM is used in non-member countries)

As leading terminology for the planet, is the legal position of IHTSDO one of active encouragement or one of “possible revenue source” (or somewhere on that spectrum).

Will three be an LLM specific section in terms of use?

That’s a great question, thanks very much, and one we have already been considering internally.

We hope to have something soon to answer this and will put it on our website once we’ve completed it, making it clear for users how they can use SNOMED CT with LLMs.
