Searching Editorial Guide

sorry if this is not the correct space. Im still fumbling my way around.

We used to be able to search the editorial guide for anything. Now it looks like the previous search box only looks for headings.

The only way i can see is to use the search box at the top, use advanced and set to content under editorial guide.

  1. Is there a better way to search?
  2. if not, are there plans to reintroduce the previous way?

Thanks

You may find that using the new search box at the top is enough. It rapidly filters content and summarises results as you type.

If you are getting too many results and need to filter by space, it’s not necessary to use the advanced search; you can select a space right from the initial dropdown.

Thank you - are you using the bar at the top? mine doesnt look like that - i presume filter by space space at the right would do the same thing - just yours looks easier…

Yes, I’m using the top search bar but I was logged in as staff.
When I am logged out the search bar looks like your screenshot.
I think we need someone from the tech team to explain this difference.

Also links to concepts referenced are still broken. I was advised it was a macro issue. Do we know when those will be sorted? e.g.“timestamp”:1758630569080,“msg”:“A unknown Exception Occurred”,“errorMsg”:“The provided AtlassianHostUser did not specify a user to act as.”,“code”:"500” Thanks

Hi @Emma-jane , thanks for pointing this out. If you go to the front page of the guide, there is now a search box to search the guide specifically as you would have done before. See if that works for you.

Hi @jspence , yes, we’re aware of this particular issue due to how the Atlassian cloud products work. The team is working hard to provide a better solution for this and expect to make this public soon.

The box at the right hand side? That works (thanks).. BUT..

…once you have searched and gone to a page. You have to go back to the first page to search again (does that make sense?).

Previously the search box was at the left so always there.. would it be possible to move?

Thanks :folded_hands:t4:

Thanks for the update.

At the moment, it does not seem like you can change that box in the right unfortunately. This is functionality baked into the Atlassian cloud product that we can’t alter.

Thanks for investigating. Much appreciated.

Hi Janice,

The Editorial Guide is now hosted in the SNOMED Document Library. The URL is still the same, SNOMED CT Editorial Guide | SNOMED International Documents The problems you mentioned have been remedied, but let me know if you find anything else. -Krista

Thanks Krista. Just to clarify, we were provided https://conf.spaces.snomed.org/wiki/spaces/DOCEG/overview, will this redirect stay in place or do we need to update the reference for our clients to point to SNOMED CT Editorial Guide | SNOMED International Documents ? Thanks

I’m unsure how long the redirect will remain. If using a URL reference, SNOMED CT Editorial Guide | SNOMED International Documents will always reference the correct location.

Thanks. We will update accordingly.

Hi Krista,

Same issue with links also found in the Templates : https://conf.spaces.snomed.org/wiki/spaces/SCTEMPLATES/overview

Thanks!

Yes, you’re right; that issue is still outstanding.

Please could someone post a link to the editorial guide page that has the link to the update spreadsheet (not just the spreadsheet). Thank you

Hi Emma,

Sure, it’s on the second page of the guide now: Introduction to Editorial Guide | SNOMED International Documents

Under Introduction to Editorial Guide page*, Review Cycle* section.
