As part of our ongoing work to update the NCPT Reference Set, we are beginning a review of SNOMED CT concepts relating to Nutrition assessment, monitoring and evaluation.
We have prepared an initial list of 100 concepts which we would like you to review as a pilot for the process. You can download and work on this at your convenience via the following link: SNOMED CT NCPT Refset Content Review Batch 1
The purpose of this step is to ensure that the content remains appropriate for inclusion in the reference set.
Please take a look at the concepts and let us know via a reply to this forum post:
If you are happy with the content as proposed.
If you have any specific concerns about the addition of particular concepts.
To keep us on track, we would appreciate your feedback by 20 October 2025. After the pilot, if the approach is acceptable, we plan to divide CRG members into small groups (2–3 people) to review subsequent sections of the proposed reference set.
Your input at this stage is vital to shaping a robust and practical reference set. Thank you for your time and contribution.
My one question would be, why there are a few terms that use “quantity of intake” and the rest just “intake”. For example: Estimated quantity of intake of energy vs Estimated intake of energy per kilogram in 24 hours.
Dear Paula and all, the one set of terms is older content (just “intake”) than the other (“quantity of intake”). We typically leave older terms alone until there is an editorial QA project. Let me know if you have more questions. Tina
