For the UK.

  • Updates to Clinical imaging procedures with support from SI to improve these concepts, especially adding lateralised versions of these procedures
  • Updates to Pathology observables to both improve modelling of existing concepts and add new concepts to support user requirements
  • Alignment of the UK Drug extension with SI naming principles for FSNs, Synonyms and Semantic tags. PTs remain speciifc to the UK. This is part of a larger ongoing piece of work to align where possible the UK Drug extension with SI National Drug Extension principles.
  • Planned publication of map refsets linking UK Drug content with GTINs (barcodes)
  • Ongoing work with the UK’s NHS Pathways team to support their move to using SNOMED CT as their coding system

We also authored concepts to support assessment scales, shared decision-making, obesity pathways and allergy testing. On the allergy testing we have developed content to support penicillin allergy de-labelling.

For Australia.

  • Most of our work at the moment is driven by Australian Clinical Data for Interoperability (AUCDI) and supporting Australian Patient Summary (AU PS) and related FHIR IGs. This is primarily development of a combination of reference sets and valueSets - but equally creating necessary content to ensure those subsets meet the clinical requirements.
  • We continue to create Pathology evaluation procedures to support the RCPA and National Pathology Test Catalogue for eRequesting. We’re also supporting RANZCR in developing a similar catalogue for Radiology, but have not created any content yet, while we waited for the promotion work at SI finish - so will revisit this again now it’s done.
  • Content to support patient reported outcome/experience measures, especially around the Activities of daily living.
  • Triaging a massive corpus of requests from Allied Health (all areas) partners to foster SNOMED CT adoption.
  • Alignment analysis of Assessment, Scales, Procedures and Observables
  • Terminology Support for National Health Service Directory. This primarily focuses on <224930009 |Services (qualifier value)| - but also touches on 394658006 |Clinical specialty (qualifier value)| and 223366009 |Healthcare professional (occupation)|

Content development aside, our technical team are developing AI assisted tools to help with quality evaluation and improvement of the terminology.
