Thera are two types of TIBC. In addition to the description above there is another TIBC which is a measured many laboratories, and proposed to be included in the NPU terminology NPU NPUXXXXX Plasma—Transferrin(Iron binding sites); substance concentration = ? micromole per litre)
GN: A distinction between Ratio and Relative kind of properties in the NPU terminology has been:
A ratio kind of property is the ratio between two components in the same system.
A relative kind of property is the ratio between the same property in two systems.
In relation to plural/singular we have the following concepts in the top 100 list:

Blood cells, if meaning is a population of cells is in NPU denoted with plural form, e.g. Leukocytes. SNOMED CT has concepts for populations: 702948002 |Population of cells in portion of fluid (body structure)| and for single cells: <<63370004 |Blood cell (cell)|. LOINC has chose the single cell concepts, and for NPU purposes the single cell concepts would work as well.
