In the Netherlands we have a term ‘dwarslaesie’ that is a spinal cord injury/lesion with neurological impairment. We use the AISA impairment scale to classify the impairment (https://www.physio-pedia.com/American_Spinal_Injury_Association_(ASIA)_Impairment_Scale).
Some questions:
- are there more countries that have a term/concept like ‘dwarslaesie’ in the Netherlands and struggle with how to define that in SNOMED?
- are there more countries that use the ASIA impairment scale and need an observable entity for that?
And I would love to hear other countries experiences in SNOMED with spinal cord injuries/lesions and neurological impairments.
