The new Briefing Note has been published in the new Forums space:

- [https://forums.snomed.org/t/conclusion-on-increasing-description-type-length-limits/323](https://forums.snomed.org/t/conclusion-on-increasing-description-type-length-limits/323)

This contains the conclusions, plans for the next steps, and also answers community queries on the roles & responsibilities for NRC’s.

We’ve also updated the blog in line with this, so that we ensure thorough comms coverage for the community:

- [https://www.snomed.org/news/blog%3A-snomed-international-concludes-community-feedback-period-on-proposed-description-character-limit-increase-and-finalizes-next-steps](https://www.snomed.org/news/blog%3A-snomed-international-concludes-community-feedback-period-on-proposed-description-character-limit-increase-and-finalizes-next-steps)

If you have any questions at all please don’t hesitate to ask (eg)

- Should we disseminate this information out now to end users?
- Is the level of SI comms appropriate for the changes being made? (or too much/too little?)
