For the ankle, the concept 70258002 |Ankle joint structure (body structure)| corresponds to the talocrural joint, commonly known as the “true ankle joint.” It is formed by three bones: the tibia and fibula of the leg and the talus of the foot. This joint is also described as the upper ankle joint. In contrast, the concept 127863007 |Subtalar joint structure (body structure)| is often called the lower ankle joint, although it is technically an intertarsal joint located between the talus above and the calcaneus (heel bone) below.

0258002 | Ankle joint structure (body structure) |

DG: Oberes Sprunggelenk
PT :Articulatio talocruralis
Syn: Sprunggelenk ?

344001 | Ankle region structure (body structure) |
en Ankle region structure (body structure)
en Ankle region structure
en Ankle
en Hock

PT : Sprunggelenkregion
Syn: Knöchelregion
Syn: Sprunggelenkbereich

en Subtalar joint complex structure
en Functional subtalar joint
en Subtalar joint complex

PT: Unteres Sprunggelenk

140661000146107 | Subtalar joint complex structure (body structure) |

Bsp: 281535004 | Fracture of lateral malleolus (disorder) |
Ankle fracture - lateral malleolus

### Oberes Sprunggelenk

**70258002 | Ankle joint structure (body structure) |**

- PT: Oberes Sprunggelenk
- Syn: Articulatio talocruralis
- Syn: Sprunggelenk

**344001 | Ankle region structure (body structure) |**

- PT: Sprunggelenkregion
- Syn: Sprunggelenkbereich

### Unteres Sprunggelenk

**127863007 | Subtalar joint structure (body structure) |**

- PT: Hinteres unteres Sprunggelenk
- Syn: Articulatio subtalaris
- Syn: Subtalares Gelenk

**27162001 | Talocalcaneonavicular joint structure (body structure) |**

- PT: Vorderes unteres Sprunggelenk
- Syn: Articulatio talocalcaneonavicularis
- Syn: Talotarsalgelenk

**140661000146107 | Subtalar joint complex structure (body structure) |**

### Ergebnis

- Ankle → Sprunggelenk
- Ankleregion → Sprunggelenkregion
- Knöchel → Malleolus (Innen- oder Außenknöchel)
- Subtalar joint → Hinteres unteres Sprunggelenk
- Talocalcaneonavicular joint → Vorderes unteres Sprunggelenk

Also macht gerne Gegenvorschläge.

70258002 | Ankle joint structure (body structure) |

PT: Oberes Sprunggelenk
Syn: Articulatio talocruralis
Syn: Sprunggelenk

344001 | Ankle region structure (body structure) |

PT: Sprunggelenkregion
Syn: Sprunggelenkbereich

SNOMED: For the ankle, the concept 70258002 |Ankle joint structure (body structure)| corresponds to the talocrural joint, commonly known as the “true ankle joint.” It is formed by three bones: the tibia and fibula of the leg and the talus of the foot. This joint is also described as the upper ankle joint. In contrast, the concept 127863007 |Subtalar joint structure (body structure)| is often called the lower ankle joint, although it is technically an intertarsal joint located between the talus above and the calcaneus (heel bone) below.

1. ![image](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex014/uploads/snomed/original/1X/b2d94543a1ad620bd9e0000fe50330e860525678.png)

Vorschlag SKL: 127863007 | Subtalar joint structure |
PT Subtalargelenk

Syn Articulatio subtalaris

Syn Articulatio talocalcanea

Syn Hinteres unteres Sprunggelenk

Vorschlag EMO siehe oben:

Vorschlag SKL: 27162001 | Talocalcaneonavicular joint structure
PT\* Talokalkaneonavikulargelenk

Syn Articulatio talocalcaneonavicularis

\*Syn Vorderes unteres Sprunggelenk

Vorschlag EMO siehe oben:

E. falsch:

- → wenn SNOMED sagt, “In contrast, the concept 127863007 |Subtalar joint structure (body structure)| is often called the lower ankle joint”
